Credit cards can be a dangerous object to toy around with. It offers you the temptation to use it beyond your means, only later, crumbling you down with numerous debt accounts.

While using credit cards, there are a few common mistakes that you could avoid, so that it can be less of a burden and more of a useful commodity.

People tend to make a mistake of using many credit cards, or keeping many at a time. It often happens, when stores persuade you to sign up for their credit card offers and save some money.


In order to save a little of this amount, people sign up for the cards, however, this step may decrease the age of credit history. New cards pull the average age down and the credit report goes low.


Avoiding to Pay Bills

Ignoring the need of paying off bills, and other fines accumulates to damaging the credit score. If you do not try to pay off these bills, collection agencies, may use them to report against you.

If organizations do not report you to the credit bureau, then the collection agency will definitely do it. So its  better to pay off all bills and all fines, to avoid any further damage.

Usually people show a careless attitude towards their bills, and pay them late, thinking of that as inconsequential, however, it is these bills that affect the credit score vastly.
